50 frases imprescindibles para meetings en inglés

Si trabajás remoto con USA/UK, los meetings son donde te ven. Acá las 50 frases para abrir, opinar, interrumpir, disentir, aclarar y cerrar como pro.

Abrir y agradecer asistencia

  • “Thanks everyone for joining today.”
  • “Let's get started.”
  • “I'll keep this brief — we have a hard stop at 30 minutes.”
  • “Quick agenda: A, B, and C. Anything to add?”
  • “For context, the reason we're here is…”

Dar tu opinión

  • “From my perspective, …”
  • “I think we should…”
  • “What I'm seeing is…”
  • “If I had to choose, I'd go with…”
  • “Let me push back a little on that.”

Interrumpir educadamente

  • “Sorry to interrupt, but…”
  • “Quick question on that point…”
  • “Can I jump in?”
  • “Just to build on what you said…”
  • “I want to make sure I understand before we move on.”

Estar en desacuerdo (sin pelear)

  • “I see it differently.”
  • “I'm not sure I agree, here's why…”
  • “I hear you, but my concern is…”
  • “Have we considered the alternative of…?”
  • “I'd challenge that assumption.”

Pedir aclaración

  • “Could you elaborate on that?”
  • “I'm not sure I follow — can you give an example?”
  • “What do you mean by…?”
  • “Just to clarify: are you saying X or Y?”
  • “Sorry, can you repeat that? You broke up for a second.”

Hacer summary o checkpoint

  • “So to summarize what we've discussed…”
  • “Where are we on the original question?”
  • “Let me make sure I've got this right.”
  • “It sounds like we're aligned on X but still discussing Y.”
  • “Should we park this and come back to it?”

Cerrar con action items

  • “Quick recap: I'll do X, you'll do Y, deadline is Friday.”
  • “Who owns this?”
  • “What's the next step?”
  • “Let's schedule a follow-up for next week.”
  • “Thanks all — I'll send notes after the call.”

4 errores que matan tu presencia en meetings

  1. 1. Quedarse callado

En USA "silent on a call" = no aporta. Hablar al menos 2-3 veces, aunque sea pregunta o validación.

  2. 2. Decir "I'm sorry, my English…" al inicio

Bajás tu credibilidad antes de hablar. Mejor: hablar y listo. Si te trabás, usar filler natural.

  3. 3. No usar el chat para puntos largos

Si tu inglés oral lentea, escribir en el chat es legítimo. Muchos PMs prefieren ese formato.

  4. 4. Asentir todo sin entender

"Yes, yes, yes" sin entender = harm en delivery. Mejor: "Sorry, can you confirm the deadline again?"

Plan 30 días

Semana 1 — Memorizar 50 frases

Imprimir y tener al lado en cada call. Usar 5-10 por semana hasta automatizar.

Semana 2 — Role-play con tutor

Italki 2x/sem mock meetings. Practicar interrumpir y estar en desacuerdo.

Semana 3 — Grabar tus meetings reales

Con permiso. Re-escuchar identificando filler español, pausas largas, frases torpes.

Semana 4 — Tomar la palabra primero

Forzarte a hablar primero en cada meeting. Comentar agenda o validar punto inicial. Rompe el hielo.
